Since your audience includes writers, readers, students, and media enthusiasts, you could frame this as: “romantasy isn’t just a book trend — it’s a storytelling mode across novels, anime, manga, TV, and film.” That gives you room to compare tropes across media and makes the video feel more distinctive.

The idea is useful, but I would decide whether this is an explainer for total beginners or a take for people already inside the romantasy bubble. Those are different videos. A beginner version should answer "what does this word mean and why is everyone using it?" quickly. A fan version can be more about tropes, examples, and why the genre gets people so hooked. The hook sounds fun, but I would get to the definition fast before doing too many references. If someone clicked because they genuinely do not know what romantasy is, do not make them wait too long.
