Dont forget to reach out to the local tourist agency. They often have media packs you can use to supplement your own content. You can also reach out the the individual places for their own branded media too.

I think your ending needs some reworking. I'd suggest doing a summary of the things discussed and then a quick tag Q of would you visit here. 30 seconds on the tag alone is much too long

Great idea, I'll factor that in.

The itinerary angle is strong, but I’d be careful not to make this feel like a standard travel guide. Since Kagawa is less familiar to most viewers, the cultural relevance breakdown could be the thing that makes it stand out. For example, don’t just show udon, Naoshima, Ritsurin Garden, or temples — explain why they matter and why Kagawa feels different from the usual Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka route.

Exactly! I'm going to talk about Chichibugahama, Marugame (udon brand took the name from here, but the style is completely different, which angers the locals), Konpira-san, and a few lesser-known henro temples. I may touch on Shodoshima too.

This is a good idea, Kagawa is defo less talked about so it already feels a bit more unique than the usual Japan travel videos. I’d maybe make the hook more specific tho, like “Japan’s smallest prefecture is actually worth visiting?” so people know straight away why they should care. Also the cultural breakdown is a strong part, so don’t make it just pretty clips — explain why the food/places matter a bit too.

This could work well, but I would make Kagawa feel like a useful choice rather than trivia. "Japan's smallest prefecture" is a nice hook, but after that I would quickly answer: why should a traveller care? Maybe structure it around a simple itinerary: 1. what to eat 2. one cultural stop 3. one landscape/view 4. one thing people usually miss 5. whether it is worth adding to a Japan route The ending should probably be more decisive than "would you visit?" Something like "who should skip it and who should make the detour" gives the viewer a useful takeaway. Also, Ruby's point about tourist agencies/media packs is worth trying. For smaller prefectures, official photos or local permission can make the video feel much bigger than a normal travel vlog.
